We need to understand the fact that Imran Khan is not in the National Assembly. The real responsibility lies on those parties who are in National assembly. I am not saying that Imran won't react if the PM continues to defy SC. He will. At the moment he said that he will closely watch how Gilani reacts to this decision of SC.
Imran has enough street power to bring this govt. down but this act would be equal to the act of Musharraf taking over. Bringing a government down when you are not in the assembly would be unconstitutional and all the parties in government will then become political "shaheed". They will then take this excuse to the people of Pakistan to get elected again. Having said all this, if parties in the National Assembly act and bring in the motion of no confidence, which they should as PM Gilani is now convicted by SC, then it will be a proper constitutional act.
But I am afraid the parties in the National Assemblies will not going to do just that. Just take this example to understand how serious they are. Ch. Nisar said we will not let the PM enter the National Assembly. But Gilani did enter, he did his speech as well and when asked from Ch. Nisar, why didn't you block the PM entering the assembly, he replied saying we got stuck in Jumma prayer.
In a real democracy, motion of no confidence would have been brought by now. Our so called opposition is wasting time in giving same statements that they have been giving for the last four years.
