Even Imran Khan will not be able to nominate anyone in the party and all representatives will be elected : Javed Hashmi

Karachi, 05 : "If the party wants, they can win voters in the city by delivering,” said Hashmi. He said that while PTI has differences with MQM over their policies, he himself has had cordial relations with the party and have met Farooq Sattar, as well as visited the London office. Nadir Leghari said that Hashmi’s visit is the materialization of the party’s plans of incursion in rural sindh, where the party is still known to enjoy the least popularity as compared to other parts of the country like Punjab and KPK. Hashmi said that the major political parties have been given the power several times by the people in which they did not prove themselves. PPP has had about 42 years, PML-N and MQM almost 25 or more. “They were supported because people did not have an alternative, but they have it now,” he said. He recalled his party’s policy saying that while people criticize them for having a peripheral policy, the claims that PTI makes of ending the looting and corruption are exactly what will improve the economy , discourage looters and criminals and bring prosperity to the country. Our party is starting democracy within its own structure, which no other party has ever done. “Even Imran Khan will not be able to nominate anyone in the party and all representatives will be elected.” He said that they have planned elections starting from UC level and repeated the party’s point of declaration of assets for all members. Singing laurels of the party, he also mentioned the IRI report that declares PTI as the most popular political party of the country and said that Pakistan’s best minds are being attracted to PTI, promising a safe future to the country. Also speaking about new provinces, he again declared that the party is in favor of the new provinces but said that that there is no law in the constitution of Pakistan to make new provinces and the assurances being given to the people are baseless. To his party’s opposition to ‘Mahajir sooba’ however, he maintained that country can only be divided on administrative lines not ethnic. Hashmi criticized the policies of PML-N, which made him join PTI.

PTI to move court over Swiss letter: Imran

MIRPURKHAS: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf chairman Imran Khan said on Saturday that his party would go to court if Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf did not write a letter to Swiss authorities over the money laundering case. About his party’s strategy for the general election, he said an alliance with the Jamaat-i-Islami could be considered, but he ruled out any understanding with the Pakistan Muslim League-N because Nawaz Sharif “is as much to blame for the existing mess as President Asif Zardari”. The PTI chief made the observations during a public meeting near Hyderabad and at a press conference in Mirpurkhas. At Mirpurkhas, he accused President Asif Ali Zardari of having deposited $60 million in Swiss banks. He alleged that Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Nawaz Sharif was “equally corrupt and has a huge amount in foreign banks”. Imran Khan said it was amazing that a man who was an accused in a massive corruption case had been made prime minister. He said PTI, unlike People’s Party and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, was not a party of the status quo. He called upon Karachi police to change their attitude in order to bring a semblance of sanity back to the city. Karachi needed a campaign against illegal weapons to fight the menacing rise in street crime. He said rulers had no time to attend to Balochistan’s problems because they were “too busy saving their seats”. FAIR POLLS: Speaking at a public gathering in Abdul Hadi Nizamani village, near Hyderabad, Imran Khan said free and fair elections were not possible as long as president Zardari was in charge. He predicted “big things” before March, when the government would complete its five-year term. “Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf will only protect the president’s corruption since he, too, is an accused in a corruption case involving a staggering sum of Rs400 billion,” the PTI chief observed. He claimed that he got a “good response” during tours of Sindh and Balochistan.

Yousaf Raza Gilani family moves to London!

Karachi: The family of ineligible Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilana including his two controversial sons has moved to London before the judgement of Supreme Court (SC).
